Description

Make these simple five-ingredient air fried bananas covered in butter brown sugar cinnamon and nutmeg for a tasty treat or topping. Air Fried Bananas are perfect over pancakes waffles or ice cream. Enjoy a quick 10-minute recipe that’s delicious and easy.


Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Slice the bananas into rounds about ½ inch thick.
  2. Melt the butter by warming it gently until fully melted.
  3. Combine the brown sugar cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl and mix together.
  4. Add the bananas and melted butter to the spice mixture and toss gently to coat.
  5. Using tongs place the banana rounds in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Air fry at 375 degrees for 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • The bananas cannot be too ripe or they will turn out mushy
  • The banana slices should be ½ inch or thicker to avoid getting mushy as well
  • Serve over toasted cinnamon swirl bread on top of pancakes or waffles or eat with ice cream or yogurt topped with some chopped walnuts
  • Air fry in a single layer for even cooking
