Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup cooked chicken ham diced
  • ½ cup turkey bacon cooked and chopped
  • ½ cup diced bell peppers
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Combine flour salt sugar and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil to form dough.
  3. Knead dough on floured surface until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let dough rise in oiled bowl until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare fillings by combining turkey bacon chicken ham vegetables cheese and spices.
  6. Divide dough into six portions and roll into circles.
  7. Place filling on half of each circle and fold over sealing edges.
  8. Brush with beaten egg wash.
  9. Preheat air fryer to 375°F 190°C.
  10. Air fry two to three calzones for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Cool slightly and serve.
