Description

Enjoy a delicious Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan that’s perfect for an easy dinner or a quick weeknight dinner. This family dinner features crispy breaded chicken cutlets topped with melted cheese and marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup store-bought or homemade marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • Chopped fresh parsley for serving

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts horizontally to make four thin pieces and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Season the flour with salt and pepper in a bowl, beat the eggs in a second bowl, and mix panko bread crumbs with Parmesan, oregano, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder in a third bowl.
  3. Coat each chicken piece first in flour, shaking off extras, then dip into eggs removing excess, and finally press into the panko mixture ensuring full coverage.
  4. Arrange the chicken in a single layer inside the air fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  5. Add marinara sauce and mozzarella on top of the chicken and continue cooking at 400 degrees for about 3 more minutes until the cheese melts and turns golden.
