- 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 ½ teaspoons cajun seasoning (I like Slap Ya Mama seasoning or Tony Chachere’s)
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar (optional)
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Instructions
- Warm up your 5-quart air fryer to 380°F and let it preheat for 5 minutes.
- Chop the chicken breasts into 1 inch bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl. Add the olive oil and mix until the chicken is coated.
- Combine the cajun seasoning, sugar, kosher salt, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, poultry seasoning, dried thyme, and dried parsley flakes with the chicken and stir well to cover every piece.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer, cooking in batches if needed so they’re not crowded.
- Cook the chicken for 7 to 11 minutes, shaking the basket or turning the pieces every few minutes to ensure they cook evenly. The bites are done once the internal temperature hits 165°F. Serve right away.

- The sugar balances the spice and adds a touch of char similar to Chick-Fil-A nuggets
- Red pepper flakes are optional if you prefer less heat
- You can also reduce the cajun seasoning by half
- Creole seasoning can be used instead of cajun
- Note that cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model, so adjust accordingly
