Description

This easy Chicken Florentine combines tender chicken breasts with creamy spinach and Parmesan sauce, making a comforting and flavorful meal perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 6 cups fresh spinach about 6 ounces
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt pepper and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through about 5-7 minutes per side.
  3. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant about 1 minute.
  5. Add chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens.
  7. Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
  9. Serve warm.

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
