This easy Chicken Florentine combines tender chicken breasts with creamy spinach and Parmesan sauce, making a comforting and flavorful meal perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 6 cups fresh spinach about 6 ounces
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt pepper and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant about 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens.
- Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted about 2-3 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet and coat with sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
- Serve with pasta or crusty bread to soak up the sauce
