- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups green cabbage sliced
- 1 cup shiitake mushrooms sliced or any preferred mushrooms
- 4 green onions chopped plus additional for garnish
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 inch ginger minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium high heat.
- Add minced garlic and ginger and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef breaking it apart and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add cabbage and stir until wilted about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in soy sauce oyster sauce if using and sesame oil then stir well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat mix in chopped green onions.
- Serve hot over cooked rice garnished with extra green onions if desired.
