- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream (can use milk for a thinner soup)
- salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Melt the butter in a Dutch oven or stock pot over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour with a spatula and cook for about one minute, mixing until smooth without browning.
- Pour in the chicken stock and add the drained mixed vegetables, garlic powder, and onion powder, then stir everything together.
- Use an immersion blender to mash the vegetables according to your preferred consistency.
- Bring the soup to a boil, then lower the heat to let it simmer gently.
- Stir in the heavy whipping cream and season with salt and pepper to your liking.
- Let the soup simmer for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
- Optionally, garnish with fresh cracked pepper, whole vegetables, parsley, or bacon pieces.
