Description

A quick and healthy side dish featuring tender bok choy sautéed with fragrant garlic and ginger, perfect for a nutritious meal in minutes.


Ingredients

  • 20 ounces (575 grams) bok choy
  • 2 tablespoons neutral oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt divided

Instructions

  1. Slice the bok choy in half from top to bottom or into quarters if large and rinse under running water while pulling stalks apart to remove dirt.
  2. Chop stalks into bite-sized pieces and separate from leaves.
  3. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat, add ginger and garlic and fry for 30 seconds.
  4. Add bok choy stalks and half salt, stir and cook until soft and translucent about 5 minutes.
  5. Add leaves and remaining salt, cook for 1 to 2 minutes until tender and bright green.
  6. Serve hot.

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of soy sauce or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes before serving
