Description

These Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps are a healthy and quick recipe perfect for an easy dinner or weeknight meal. Packed with flavor, they make a great family dinner option featuring healthy wraps everyone will enjoy.


Ingredients

  • lb. lean ground turkey or ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 4 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 8 oz can sliced water chestnuts drained and coarsely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lower-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons roasted red chili paste
  • Pinch of salt
  • 12 Bibb or Butter lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. Warm the olive oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat then add ground turkey, garlic, and ginger. Cook for around 6 minutes, breaking the turkey apart until browned.
  2. Transfer the cooked turkey mixture to a bowl and mix in green onions and water chestnuts thoroughly.
  3. In a separate small bowl, blend hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili paste then pour over the turkey mixture, tossing everything until fully coated.
  4. Spoon about one-quarter cup of the mixture into each lettuce leaf and serve immediately.
