- 1 (4–6 lb) bone-in or boneless turkey breast
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried sage (optional)
- ½ teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup chicken or turkey broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ onion sliced
- 2 celery stalks chopped
- 1 carrot chopped
Instructions
- Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels and, if the skin is on, carefully lift it to spread seasoning underneath.
- Combine melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, sage, and lemon zest in a bowl.
- Spread the butter mixture all over the turkey breast, including under the skin.
- Add sliced onion, chopped celery, chopped carrot, and extra garlic to the bottom of the crockpot.
- Pour in the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce over the vegetables.
- Set the turkey breast on top of the vegetables, cover the crockpot, and cook on low heat for 5 to 6 hours based on size until the internal temperature hits 165°F.
- Optional: For extra crispy skin, broil the turkey for 4 to 5 minutes after cooking.
- Allow the turkey to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
