Description

Meatball and Mashed Potato Bake is a comforting and easy dinner perfect for a weeknight meal. This simple bake combines tender meatballs with creamy mashed potatoes and rich gravy for a satisfying family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen or homemade meatballs fully cooked
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes freshly made or leftovers
  • 1½ cups brown gravy homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 375°F 190°C and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish lightly.
  2. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly across the bottom of the dish and season with salt and pepper if desired.
  3. Arrange the fully cooked meatballs evenly over the mashed potatoes.
  4. Pour the brown gravy over the meatballs and potatoes to cover them well.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top layer uniformly.
  6. Bake the dish uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes until everything is heated through and the cheese has melted and become bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if you like before serving warm.
