Description
This Meatball Parmesan Skillet is a tasty one pan meal that’s perfect for a family dinner. It’s an easy dinner solution ready in minutes, ideal for a weeknight meal you’ll love to serve again.

- 3 cups marinara sauce (½ recipe of Marinara Sauce)
- 12 large meatballs (1 recipe of Turkey Meatballs)
- 1 ½ cups freshly shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- fresh Italian parsley or basil or oregano for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the meatballs and marinara sauce as directed.
- Warm the marinara sauce in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Place the meatballs gently into the sauce and simmer briefly to combine flavors.
- Ladle some sauce over the meatballs to coat them.
- Optionally, sprinkle a teaspoon or two of freshly chopped herbs on top.
- Distribute the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly across the meatballs and sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 5 to 10 minutes until the cheese melts completely.
- If desired, broil the dish for 2 to 3 minutes to achieve lightly browned cheese.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve right away.
Notes
- This can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months
- You can use jarred marinara sauce or homemade
- Frozen meatballs will work or homemade as well
- This can be made as a freezer meal, see my tips above on how to do that
- Instead of a skillet this can be made in a casserole dish (9 inchx13 inch) and baked
