Description

This Parmesan Crusted Chicken Longhorn recipe delivers crispy golden chicken breasts with a flavorful parmesan crust. Perfectly seasoned and easy to prepare, it makes a satisfying and impressive meal for any dinner occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts about 68 ounces each
  • 1 ½ cups finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper or to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley optional
  • lemon wedges for serving optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F 200°C.
  2. Mix Parmesan cheese Panko bread crumbs garlic powder onion powder dried Italian herbs salt and pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Place flour in another shallow dish and eggs in a third shallow dish.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour then dip into eggs then coat with Parmesan mixture pressing firmly.
  5. Heat olive oil and butter in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook chicken breasts until golden crispy about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Transfer skillet to oven and bake until chicken is cooked through about 15-20 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.

  • For extra crispiness use freshly grated Parmesan and Panko crumbs
  • Be careful not to overcook chicken to keep it juicy
