Description

A creamy and comforting casserole featuring tender chicken, creamy sauce, and a crunchy Ritz cracker topping, perfect for an easy family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 5 cups chicken breasts cooked and cubed or shredded
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 (10.75 ounce cans) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups crushed Ritz crackers about 1 1/2 rolls of crackers
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 Tablespoon poppy seeds optional
  • optional 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix chicken, sour cream, and cream of chicken soup in a bowl.
  3. Spread mixture evenly in a greased casserole dish.
  4. In a small bowl, combine crushed crackers, melted butter, and poppy seeds.
  5. Sprinkle cracker mixture evenly over chicken mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  7. Serve warm, optionally over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chopped onions or a pinch of black pepper
