Description

This Smores Sourdough Bread combines the tangy flavor of sourdough with the irresistible sweetness of chocolate chips, marshmallows, and graham crackers, perfect for cozy campfire moments.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 grams bread flour 3 ½ cups
  • 350 grams water 1 ½ cups
  • 50 grams active sourdough starter ¼ cup
  • 10 grams salt 1 ½ teaspoon
  • 50 grams sugar ¼ cup
  • 100 grams chocolate chips ⅔ cup
  • 60 grams marshmallows
  • 56 grams unsalted butter 4 Tablespoons
  • 4 graham crackers crushed

Instructions

  1. Mix bread flour sugar salt and sourdough starter in a large bowl.
  2. Add water and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead dough until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let dough rise at room temperature for 4 to 6 hours.
  5. Gently fold in chocolate chips marshmallows and crushed graham crackers.
  6. Shape dough into a loaf and place it in a baking pan.
  7. Let it rise again for 1 to 2 hours.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F 190°C.
  9. Brush top with melted butter.
  10. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let bread cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra gooey marshmallows use mini marshmallows
