- 1 lb ground turkey 93/7 lean recommended
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper or to taste
- 5 oz fresh spinach
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
Instructions
- Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the mushrooms and diced onion, cooking until the mushrooms develop a rich brown color, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and continue cooking for an additional minute.
- Incorporate the ground turkey, breaking it up and cooking until no pink remains, about 6 to 8 minutes, then drain any extra fat.
- Season the mixture with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the spinach gradually, stirring until it completely wilts, taking 2 to 3 minutes.
- Lower the heat and mix in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until the cheese melts and becomes a creamy sauce. Serve right away.
