Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese room temp
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup green onions sliced green only
- 8 large jalapenos halved and de-seeded
- 8 pieces bacon cut in half
Instructions
- Remove stems from jalapenos and slice each one in half lengthwise, then scoop out seeds and white pith to reduce heat if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and sliced green onions until fully blended.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into the hollowed jalapeno halves.
- Wrap each stuffed jalapeno half with a half slice of bacon and secure it with 1 or 2 toothpicks to hold the bacon in place.
- Heat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray the basket lightly with non-stick spray.
- Arrange the poppers in the air fryer basket making sure they have space for air circulation.
- Cook in the air fryer for 10 to 13 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Use tongs to remove the poppers and let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store leftover poppers covered in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 days and reheat in the air fryer or microwave
- For a vegetarian option, omit the bacon and reduce cooking time to about 8 minutes
- Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling jalapenos, preferably using gloves if sensitive
- Follow your air fryer manufacturer’s safety guidelines
