Enjoy a flavorful Air Fryer Cajun Chicken and Shrimp meal that is perfect for an easy dinner or weeknight dinner. This family dinner recipe features bold Cajun shrimp recipe seasoning that brings out vibrant smoky tones using air fryer Cajun seasoning.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Cajun or Creole seasoning
  • 24 (1 pound) cleaned and peeled extra jumbo shrimp
  • 6 ounces fully cooked Turkey or Chicken Andouille sausage or kielbasa sliced
  • 1 medium zucchini (8 ounces sliced into 1/4 inch thick half moons)
  • 1 medium yellow squash (8 ounces sliced into 1/4 inch thick half moons)
  • 1 large red bell pepper (seeded and cut into thin 1 inch pieces)
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the Cajun seasoning with the shrimp in a large bowl until the shrimp is evenly coated.
  2. Add the sausage, zucchini, yellow squash, red bell pepper, kosher salt, and olive oil to the bowl and toss all together.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400F.
  4. Cook the shrimp and vegetable mixture in the air fryer basket in two batches for 8 minutes each, shaking the basket a few times during cooking.
  5. After both batches are cooked, place the first batch back into the air fryer and heat it for an additional 1 minute before serving.

Notes

  • Tip: Buy shrimp still frozen and defrost as needed
  • Most shrimp arrives at stores frozen so you may as well buy it frozen and defrost it as needed so it as fresh as possible
  • To defrost shrimp, thaw overnight in the refrigerator
