- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1.5 inch pieces about 2 breasts
- 1 tbsp. Avocado oil olive oil vegetable oil etc
- ¾ teaspoon paprika
- ¾ teaspoon granulated garlic powder
- ¾ teaspoon granulated onion powder
- ½ teaspoon flaky salt or kosher salt more to taste
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine oil paprika garlic powder onion powder flaky salt and black pepper and mix well.
- Add the chopped chicken pieces to the bowl and toss until each piece is coated evenly in the seasoned oil. Let it rest while you preheat the air fryer; optionally allow chicken to dry brine for 10 to 15 minutes for extra flavor.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400ºF 204ºC for about 3 minutes or follow your air fryer’s guidelines.
- Place half the chicken pieces into the air fryer basket making sure to leave at least 1 inch between each bite to ensure even crisping.
- Cook the chicken in the air fryer for 8 to 10 minutes turning halfway through until the internal temperature reaches at least 165ºF 74ºC.
- Remove cooked pieces and repeat the cooking process with the remaining chicken.
- Serve immediately on their own or with your preferred dipping sauce and enjoy.
Notes

- Chicken thighs work similarly but may be chewier and less nugget-like
- Flaky or kosher salt gives best flavor compared to fine table salt
