This Air Fryer Chicken and Broccoli is a quick and flavorful meal perfect for an easy dinner or weeknight dinner. Enjoy healthy air fryer recipes with tender chicken and crisp broccoli ready in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast boneless and skinless or chicken thighs cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 pound broccoli cut into florets
  • 1/2 medium onion thickly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh minced ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce or use Tamari for Gluten Free
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or use distilled white vinegar for Gluten Free
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
  • salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix together all marinade ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken in one bowl and the broccoli with onions in another.
  3. Pour the marinade equally over both bowls and toss gently to coat everything evenly.
  4. Heat your air fryer to 380 degrees F.
  5. Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Add the broccoli and onion to the basket, stir everything together, then air fry for another 8 to 11 minutes, stirring once halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  7. Serve the chicken and vegetables with white or brown rice.

Notes

  • Cut chicken into uniform 1-inch pieces to keep it tender and juicy
  • Monitor the internal temperature after 10 minutes and remove chicken early if it reaches 160 degrees F, allowing vegetables to finish cooking
