Ingredients
Scale
- 4 5-oz Lobster tails
- 1/4 cup Salted butter (melted or 1/2 stick)
- 2 cloves Garlic (crushed)
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 pinch Cayenne pepper (or more if you want extra heat)
Instructions
- If frozen, thaw the lobster tails overnight in the fridge or submerge in cold water for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).
- Cut the shells lengthwise on top without cutting through the bottom shell, then gently open them and insert a skewer to keep the flesh flat.
- Mix melted butter, crushed garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper, then brush this mixture over the lobster meat.
- Air fry the lobster tails for 5-6 minutes or until the meat is opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees F (60 degrees C). Cook longer if tails are larger, checking temperature as needed.
Notes
- Butterflying the tails ahead of time is possible, but don’t apply butter in advance to avoid drying
- Store leftovers in an airtight container refrigerated up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months
- Reheat wrapped in foil with butter in the air fryer at 320 degrees F until warm
