Description

These Air Fryer Stuffed Bell Peppers Ground Beef are perfect for an easy dinner or a weeknight family meal. The stuffed peppers air fryer method cooks the ground beef filling until tender and cheese melts beautifully. A delicious ground beef recipe that’s quick and satisfying.


Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 (15–ounce) can no salt added tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning divided
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut off the tops of the bell peppers and dice these tops separately, then remove the seeds from the whole peppers.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the diced onion and pepper tops until softened and browned, about 6 to 7 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef and brown it thoroughly, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the tomato sauce, 1½ teaspoons Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper, bring to a gentle boil and keep cooking until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes with occasional stirring.
  6. Remove from heat and mix in the cooked rice.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F for 5 minutes.
  8. Fill each bell pepper with 1 to 1¼ cups of the beef and rice mixture, pressing it in firmly.
  9. Place the stuffed peppers in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes.
  10. Open the air fryer, sprinkle the tops with mozzarella cheese and the remaining ½ teaspoon of Italian seasoning, then cook for another 2 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and browned.
